After the first approved character, players normally obtain new non-litter characters through monthly rolls. New rolled characters usually begin as kits unless staff has opened adult-character availability.

A player may bank one unused monthly roll. Saving more than one requires staff approval. The Player Portal should show the current roll, one banked roll where applicable, expiration or award dates, and all uses or corrections.

The first two monthly rolls use Foundation Characters as genetic holders. Foundation Characters are system-owned, unplayable design templates. Later monthly rolls use approved player characters as genetic holders and require permission from the relevant owners. Staff may approve a different holder arrangement as an exception.

Genetic holders determine the allowed design pool but are not automatically the character's biological parents. An actual litter uses approved in-roleplay parents and follows the separate breeding workflow.

Claiming a kit from an actual approved litter does not consume a monthly roll. Shop items that grant an additional roll, reroll, trait change, color change, or grandparent option must be applied through the official request and recorded against the result.
