Character Rules
The rules for ownership, Clans, monthly rolls, breeding, inactivity, and permanent records.
Every playable character must belong to an approved owner account. A player normally keeps their active characters within one Clan. Clan transfers and unusual character histories require the appropriate story or staff approval.
A player's first character follows the first-character creation rules. Later characters normally come from monthly rolls and usually begin as kits unless adult characters are open. One unused monthly roll may be banked. Saving more requires staff approval. The first two monthly rolls use Foundation Characters as genetic holders. Later rolls use approved player characters with their owners' permission unless staff grants an exception.
Genetic holders provide design traits and do not have to be the character's biological parents. Actual breeding is a separate in-world system. Player-character breeding requires an eligible Male and Female pairing based on assigned sex. Both must be active adults. Kits and all Apprentice ranks are ineligible. Gender and pronouns do not determine breeding eligibility. Foundation Characters are sexless system templates and are exempt from the player pairing rule. Every actual litter requires staff approval.
Parents' owners choose from an approved litter first. Remaining kits may be offered publicly. Claiming a kit from an actual litter does not consume the player's monthly roll.
Characters archive automatically after 30 real-life days without qualifying activity. An approved hiatus extends the period to 90 days. Archiving hides the character publicly but preserves every connected record. Owners may reactivate archived characters immediately, with the return logged for optional staff review.
