Breeding and Litters

Eligibility, approval, genetic results, kit selection, and litter ownership.

Breeding creates an actual in-roleplay litter and is separate from using genetic holders for an unrelated monthly-roll character. Every litter requires staff approval. There is no automatic breeding cooldown, but staff reviews the current characters, story circumstances, active litters, ownership permissions, and community needs.

For player-owned characters, eligible parents must form a Male and Female pairing based on assigned sex. Both must be active adults. Kits and every Apprentice rank are ineligible. A character's gender or pronouns do not determine breeding eligibility. Foundation Characters are sexless system templates and are exempt from the player-character pairing rule where their use is allowed.

Both owners must consent when the parents have different owners. Approval generates one immutable litter result with its parents, genetic inputs, size, traits, colors, markings, timestamps, and any authorized shop effects. Rerolls and changes must preserve the earlier result in history.

Parents' owners choose kits first. Remaining kits may be offered publicly. Claiming a litter kit is separate from monthly rolls and does not consume one. Every claimed kit receives a canonical character record and linked parents, siblings, litter, owner, birth information, and genetic history.
